Detailed Itinerary

01 DAY 01: CUSCO – PAUCARTAMBO – ACJANACO – CLOUD FOREST – BAMBOO LODGE
The most mysterious part of the human being finds answers and serenity in hidden places, surrounded by pristine nature and the ancestral wisdom that guides the search for balance, spiritual harmony, and chakra connection. Our journey into the heart of Manu begins early in the morning in Cusco, leaving behind the city to cross the majestic high Andes. The first stop will be the picturesque colonial town of Paucartambo, where we will enjoy a comforting traditional breakfast amidst its charming streets full of history. We then continue ascending until reaching Acjanaco (3,500 m), the gateway to the Manu National Park. Here we make an important stop to understand where we are heading and why this land is so meaningful. From this point, we begin our descent into the Cloud Forest, an ecosystem brimming with life: orchids, bromeliads, waterfalls, and birds that seem to guard the path. We will take a gentle walk and enjoy a picnic surrounded by nature, while searching for some of the most emblematic species such as the Cock-of-the-Rock, the dazzling Golden-headed Quetzal, hummingbirds, and toucanets. In the late afternoon, after immersing ourselves in the sounds and scents of the jungle, we will arrive at our destination: the welcoming Bamboo Lodge, surrounded by gardens and secondary forest. A perfect place to rest and prepare for the days ahead, where nature and spirituality intertwine.
  • Light dinner and overnight stay at Bamboo Lodge.
02 DAY 02: INKIORI – WACARIA COMMUNITY – AYAHUASCA CEREMONY
We begin the day with a healthy breakfast at our lodge before heading towards the enigmatic Inkiori stone, a sacred formation that has long been a place of offerings and connection with the Apus (mountain spirits) and Pachamama. Surrounded by this powerful energy, we reflect on the deep union between the Andean and Amazonian worlds, allowing ourselves to be immersed in the mysticism of the site. On our way back to Pillcopata, we continue to the native community of Wacaria, where we will share meaningful moments with local families, learning about their cosmovision, their deep relationship with the forest, and the vital role of medicinal plants in their daily life. Here, we will have the opportunity to experience a unique connection with nature alongside a local shaman, a guardian of Amazonian ancestral wisdom. In the late afternoon, we will participate in the Ayahuasca ceremony, which may take place either at our lodge or within the community, depending on the group’s preference. Guided by the shaman, the sacred plant will open the path to introspection, chakra alignment, and spiritual healing. Sacred chants and the whispers of the jungle will accompany us throughout this transformative experience. At midday, as a complement to our journey, we will visit the Machuwasi Lagoon, a magical place surrounded by lush vegetation and rich in Amazonian birdlife. Here, we will enjoy a tranquil ride on a local raft, deepening our connection with the serenity of the forest. The day concludes with our return to the lodge, where we will rest and embrace the calm of the Amazonian night.
  • Overnight stay at Paraiso Lodge, Pillcopata.
03 DAY 03: PILLCOPATA – CLOUD FOREST – CUSCO
We start the morning with breakfast at Paraiso Lodge, embraced by the peaceful atmosphere of the upper jungle and the soothing sound of the river. This moment is ideal for sharing reflections on the experiences of the past days and expressing gratitude to nature for the energy received during the Ayahuasca ceremony. After breakfast, we begin our return journey to Cusco. Along the way, we pass once again through the Cloud Forest of Manu, an ecosystem full of mystery and life lush vegetation, natural waterfalls, and, with luck, sightings of the Cock-of-the-Rock, quetzals, toucanets, and colorful tanagers. This part of the journey offers a final opportunity for connection with Mother Nature, breathing in pure air and allowing the landscape to accompany us through a process of spiritual integration. Leaving the Cloud Forest behind, we continue across the Andean highlands, arriving in Cusco by mid-afternoon, where our spiritual and nature journey through Manu comes to an end.

Frequently Asked Questions

01 What is the spiritual purpose of the Ayahuasca ceremony in this tour?
The ceremony is guided by an ancestral shaman to facilitate a deep connection with "Pachamama" (Mother Nature). It is intended for inner renewal, emotional healing, and the balancing of your chakras through the guidance of sacred medicinal plants.
02 Do I need previous experience with spiritual retreats to participate?
No previous experience is required. However, we recommend arriving with an open mind and a respectful attitude toward ancestral traditions. The difficulty level is low to moderate, making it accessible for anyone seeking a transformative experience.
03 What should I pack for the transition between the Andes and the Amazon?
Since we travel from high altitudes (3,500 m.a.s.l.) to the humid jungle (730 m.a.s.l.), you should pack layers. Essential items include a waterproof jacket, comfortable hiking shoes, light breathable clothing for the jungle, insect repellent, and a personal flashlight.
04 Are the lodges prepared for the jungle environment?
Yes. Both Bamboo Lodge and Paraiso Lodge offer private bathrooms and rooms equipped with mosquito nets. They are designed to provide a balance between comfort and an authentic immersion into the sounds and energy of the forest.
05 How does the weather affect the itinerary?
The tropical humid climate (25–28 °C) can be unpredictable. While we aim to follow the program strictly, we prioritize safety and the quality of the spiritual experience; therefore, slight adjustments may be made to activities like the lagoon visit or cloud forest walks depending on the rain.
